Transliteration is the practice of converting a text from one script into another, often in a systematic way. It can form an essential part of transcription which
converts text from one writing system into another. Transliteration is not concerned with representing the phonemics of the original: it only strives to accurately
represent the characters. However with suggestions that are native to the target language can be provided for the user to select the right words that result from the
transliteration. Google's transliteration has done this well to a certain extent. iPublisher iPhone app uses Google's transliteration API and have created a very
powerful transliteration system for iPhones. They have also added a cursor control feature to position the cursor at the right spot of each word before transliteration
and after transliteration which helps with corrections using the suggestions google provides.
